Via Coop and the You Me Them Everybody Chicago music podcast comes this wonderfully original Wilco cover, which converts the spacey folk of the original into the swaggering funk of “Superstition”-era Stevie Wonder. What other Wilco tracks would be well served by this kind of arrangement? “Box Full of Letters” and “Forget the Flowers” come to mind. (download)
Wow, very cool and works surprisingly well. “Monday” and “I’ve Got You” seem like more obvious choices but I could definitley hear “War on War” or “She’s A Jar” working too.
